What's your face worth?

Following on from a conversation with Rachael from The Beauty Spot about ridiculously priced one-off beauty items, it got me thinking how much dollah goes in to your every day makeup. The nerd that I am, I worked out exactly how much this beautious FOTD cost me:

Items:
Mac Prep and Prime Moisture Surge: £28
Hard Candy Glamoflague (in Light): $6 (approx £3.71
Elf Studio High Definition Powder: £6
Sleek 'Suede' Blush: £4.30
BeautyUK 'Peaches and Cream' Baked Blush: £3.99
Collection2000 24h Extreme Felt Tip Eyeliner: £2.99
Maybelline One By One Mascara: £8.49
Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in 'Hazel': £2.99
MAC Satin Lipstick in 'Rebel': £13.50

Total: £73.96

...I have no idea if this is a lot or not. If it wasn't for my primer, this would be a really inexpensive FOTD and if I was wearing a cheaper lipstick it'd be super pocket friendly, but then I'm not wearing any shadows or foundation/tinted moisturizer today, which I normally would.

So basically, out of nerdy interest... how much is your face worth today?

  1. My face is worth nothing! Mostly because I'm too lazy to put makeup on today, what with allergies/sinus issues going on.

  2. Let's see...

Maybelline Great Lash clear mascara: $4
    Accessorize mascara: $8

  3. I'm not wearing makeup today, but just going by my staples:

    My foundation is $55
    My face primer is $30
    Eye primer is $18
    My setting powder is $42
    Mascara is $28

Nothing on eyes or lips save for primer, no blush, and I'm already at $173. According to Google's currency converter that's 107.46 in GBP. Good grief, me. Good grief. My only justification is that I don't wear makeup most days and forget mascara frequently. =X

    2. If I don't use makeup often, I don't use it up as often, right? Haha, I'm totally flailing for a life raft here. xP

I swear, though, I've never actually used up a tube of TFSI. xD

  5. I want to play!

I'm kind of surprised by the number, but $117.97 today (although you can knock half off basically because the UD Alice box was a gift from the hubs):

Garnier BB Cream in light $11.89 (although actually purchased on vacay in November at Superdrug in York . . . so however many pounds x conversion rate . . . eh, prob. about $11.89 so we'll call it even)
Wet and Wild Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana (as setting powder) $3.99
    Nars blush in Orgasm $28
    Elf Studio Eyebrow Kit $3
    Elf Mineral Eye Primer $3
    Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy $7
3 shades from the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Shadow Box, currently a zillion dollars on ebay, but originally $52
    NYX Pinup Tease Mascara $6
Wet and Wild Sweet Glaze Lipgloss $2.99

    $117.87

  7. I think I will go ahead and do this the next time I post a FOTD!! I cringe to think of what the price will look like at the end LOL

  8. I think my look for today is about US$39, lots of samples and inexpensive stuff.

  9. OH GOD, I added it up and I am not even saying the total. IT IS FRIGHTENING, especially if I use a bunch of MAC or NARS stuff rather than drugstore items. Even if I use drugstore items, the total is frightening. ARGH!!
