Disney Collaboration with Fierce Nerditude: Jiminy Cricket

Ah, Jiminy Cricket! The best character in Pinocchio by far (apart from maybe Cleo, but she’s a fish hussy, let’s face it), I love his little hat and dedication to his job. I was totally stumped on what to do for Jiminy – his skin is a kind of an odd grey-green colour, and there are  a lot of colours in his outfit, so it could have ended up a bit of a mess. Anyway, I decided to keep it simple and this is what I came up with.

Eyes: Crease, light blue from Sleek Circus. Lid, Fyrinnae Damn Paladins. Liner and brow highlight, black and white from Sleek Circus. Gold on lower lashline, Sugarpill Goldilux (over black.)
Cheeks: Stila Custom Color blush in Coral
Lips: Wet n Wild Megalast lipstick in 903C (blotted)

I went with a soft blue for his top hat, black liner for his jacket, and a greeny-taupe for his skin. I snuck in a touch of gold on the lower lashline to represent the shiny gold badge the Blue Fairy gives him.

Not too sure what I think of this look but it was a tough one! Be sure to pop along to Fierce Nerditude and check out Vijaya’s Princess Tiana look!

  1. Congrats for coming up with this look!
As much as I love Jiminy Cricket, I don't think I could do a make-up inspired by him, I hate those color combinations:))

  2. Oh nice! I like the blue on top like his hat on top, as hats tend to be. I'd have been uninspired with Jiminy - and Pinocchio in general. *shudder* creepy. Though now you've reminded me, I do like that slutty fish. x

  5. You know, I've never thought to put Damn Paladins with an actual blue shadow. The more you know!

Side note: Have you seen Once Upon A Time? Archie/Jiminy Cricket is my favorite freaking character from that show, so this got me all excited.

  6. There's a couple of this I love about this.
    a) you can wear blue so well
    b) gold over black keeps cool undertones on you (majorly jealous of this fact, if may I add)
    c) and inspiration is not a blonde Disney Princess

    yay

  8. Aw! I love Jiminy Cricket. I haven't thought about him in ages, but he is the best thing about Pinocchio.

That matte blue is such a gorgeous color. And if you keep wearing those damned Stila blushes I'm going to be forced to buy one! Bad Robyn!
