High Voltage Love Week: Day 1

Due to recent customer service complaints, long order waits, orders going missing and ingredient inconsitencies, I can no longer recommend High Voltage Cosmetics.
You might have caught my Fyrinnae Love Week series recently, where I posted an eye look using just Fyrinnae shadows for seven days. I really enjoyed doing it and so I've decided to do another week, featuring High Voltage eyeshadows.

High Voltage have hundreds of awesome eyeshadow shades, including mattes - the Norse Mythology collection has some fabulous complex shades. I'm a massive fan of HV lip products - check out the Lip Whips for an indie alternative to OCC Lip Tars! The shop is always fun for me as most of the products are named after rock and metal songs and albums and Jasmine, the owner, is really sweet and awesome and churns out new colours like nobodies business!

I'll say right away, I cheated with this week - the looks for this week are already done and photographed. I've just changed jobs, and it's not always appropriate for me to wear bright makeup, so that's something I'm still figuring out. And as you'll see, there are some wicked bright eyeshadows I couldn't not feature!

In the spirit of using 'old' looks, this was actually my St Patricks Day look -I just so happened to use all HV shadows so I thought I'd save it for this series.

Eyes:
Lid: High Voltage November Rain
Crease/Lower Lashline: High Voltage Pirate
To blend above crease: High Voltage Tree Hugger (used sparingly)
Glitter liner: Mix of Barry M gold liner and a random murky green glitter from eBay

Lips:
High Voltage Lip Whip in She's Got The Look

Cheeks:
Pass! Probably Darling Girl Fuji.

November Rain is one of my favourite greens, and I certainly need to get a full size of it at some point. Mind you, there are a million and one greens of theirs I need to try out as well - I should probably get Night Train. Guns N' Roses + green eyeshadow = happy Robyn!

  2. I always LOVE green on you, I don't know why, think it's your hair? Anyway, this is awesome! Do you definitely have to do safe makeup for work? I mean, I work in a law firm and I know I've come in with hot pink eyeshadow on and my boss hasn't said anything, lol. Most men don't notice! (provided you have a male boss)
